It is explained in the preface of the QC 080000 management system document that this management system is a supplementary document of the quality management system consistent with the ISO 9001:2000 framework. Its goal is to make management and control more complete, systematic and transparent in order to be free of harmful substances. The QC 080000 management system is based on ISO 9001:2000. ISO 9001 system certification is a prerequisite for QC 080000 certification. The two standards are fully compatible.
